The Kanagawa Prefectural Government's Office, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property, is affectionately known as the "King's Tower." Along with Yokohama Customs Building's "Queen's Tower" and Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall's "Jack's Tower," it forms the "Three Towers of Yokohama." The building stands about 49 meters tall and is one of the symbolic structures of Yokohama Port.

Constructed in the early Showa era, the Main Building embodies the then-popular Stripped Classical style, seen in structures like the old Imperial Hotel. Its design features Art Deco elements, with the tower representing a pioneering example of a harmonious blend of Western architecture and Japanese aesthetics. This building, the fourth iteration of the Prefectural Government Building, was rebuilt in 1928 following the destruction of its predecessor in the Great Kanto Earthquake.
The Kanagawa Prefectural Government's Office History Exhibition Room, located on the sixth floor, showcases the history and charm of the four iterations of the building through panels and audio displays.

From the rooftop observation deck, visitors can enjoy close-up views of the Queen's Tower (Yokohama Customs) and the Jack's Tower (Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall), as well as panoramic vistas of Yokohama Port and the Minato Mirai district.
