Last update :

Japan's first complex facility combining "commercial facilities," "a cruise ship terminal," and "a hotel" opened at the Shinko Pier in the Minato Mirai district in 2019. The facility's name comes from the "Hammerhead crane" that remains as a symbol at the tip of the pier. This historical industrial relic was used for loading and unloading cargo until the 1970s.

The "Hammerhead SHOP & RESTAURANT," a commercial facility area with more than 20 restaurants, features many "factory-attached" stores where you can see the manufacturing process right in front of you. So you will never get bored just looking around. Visitors can enjoy the freshly made delicacies that can only be tasted here, in a perfect location surrounded by the sea on three sides.

The cruise ship terminal is a full-scale facility that includes CIQ (customs, immigration, and quarantine) facilities. It can receive and discharge large cruise ships that travel to and from overseas. The 3rd to 5th floors of the facility is occupied by a luxury hotel with a view of the ocean, making it the perfect place to spend a relaxing time. The Yokohama Hammerhead is also directly connected to the "Hammerhead (Shinko-futo Sanbashi)," a SEA BASS stop. Visitors can also land from the sea using regular services departing from the East Exit of Yokohama Station.
