A winery, “Edel Wein” produces a high quality wine using suitable soil and climate such as less rain and drastic temperature to make grapes. At the AWC VIENNA International Wine Challenge, the international most major competition in the world held in Austria, this winery was awarded a gold medal in four successive years and has received a high evaluation from in and outside Japan. Wine Chateau Ohasama is directly selling wine from Edel Wein.
Wine Chateau Ohasama is selling the most wine from the Edel Wein as well as cheese and sweets going well with wine. The tasting of limited produced wine and the other is available in the tasting room. A tasting class by a sommelier is open and a tour of the wine factory is held, in which a process of making wine can be closely seen. A restaurant annexed to the facility serves dishes with local food and the wine from Edel Wein, visiting there is recommended.
