Last update :

Close to Kochi Expressway’s Shingu Interchange, this multi complex shares the various appeals of Shikoku’s famous tea producer, Shingu Area.

As you step into the Misty Forest, bright green world spreads before you. The pure Umatate River surrounds the area, where families love to splash around in summer. When you get hungry, stop by at Kirinomori Restaurant and have “Kirinomori Cha Soba (tea soba noodles)” and enjoy the taste of the mountain harvest.

On the premises, a cafe “Chafe Yururi” is serving the rich and natural Shingu Tea grown without chemicals, as well as a variety of sweets with the generous tea leaves. “Fondant Chacola” with Shingu-tea-flavored chocolate sauce melts out of the cake, gorgeous parfait, and other heavenly goodies are carefully crafted at the adjoining confectionery. Kirinomori Daifuku is served at the cafe and sold as souvenir. The aromatic powdered green tea, sweet bean filling, and fresh cream make up this rich taste. Many customers come here just to buy these.

There are also other spots of interest such as “Kaido Chaten” where you can compare the tastes of different Shingu teas and learn how to steep them, “Kirinomori Koyu-kan” to stop by and soak in the outdoor bath, and “Kirinomori Cottage” with seven wings of lodging.
