Cafe Parkside
A small café by the park where you can savor lovingly prepared homemade dishes and desserts.
Cafe Parkside is a small, charming café located right next to Kameido Central Park. Opened about 18 years ago, it is run by a mother-and-daughter team, creating a warm, homey atmosphere. The owner previously worked as an assistant at a cooking school led by Daniel Martin, former executive chef of the famed Ginza French restaurant Maxim’s de Paris, and opened the café with guidance from him-resulting in food you can truly trust.
The signature dish is the “Three-Star Chef’s Secret Curry,” supervised by Daniel Martin. Spice levels can be chosen from three options, and the curry is generously packed with seasonal vegetables. Other popular dishes include shrimp pilaf with onion soup, where a house-made bouillon enhances the shrimp’s flavor, and a classic hamburger steak served with a rich, homemade demi-glace sauce.
The menu also features sweets such as addictive soft-serve ice cream and a nostalgic coffee-shop parfait, as well as light bites like katsu sandwiches, making it a perfect stop when you’re just a little hungry.
