Koji Kinutani Tenku Art Museum
An immersive journey into the world of Koji Kinutani, experienced through 3D and VR.
This museum showcases the works of Koji Kinutani, renowned as a leading figure in contemporary fresco painting.
In the Symbol Zone, visitors are welcomed by Celebration: Flying Dragon, Fuji, and the Gate of the Dharma, a powerful depiction of Mount Fuji that immediately draws them into the vibrant, energy-filled world of Koji Kinutani. From there, guests can experience a world-first attraction: a 3D immersive experience that lets you step into a painting. Displayed on a massive curved screen approximately 3 meters high and 14 meters wide, the dynamic images of the Wind and Thunder Gods are truly breathtaking-an experience that feels much like a theme park attraction.
The exhibition galleries are divided into two distinct zones: “Blue,” inspired by the skies of Italy, and “Red,” featuring vermilion walls and lattice designs that evoke a distinctly Japanese aesthetic. These contrasting spaces allow visitors to appreciate Kinutani’s works-both dynamic and delicate-from multiple perspectives.
The museum also offers VR experiences that deepen the connection to the artist, including a virtual guided tour narrated by Koji Kinutani himself and rare insights from his Tokyo studio. As you explore, you can fully immerse yourself in the artistic universe of Koji Kinutani and experience the depth of his creative vision.
