Last update :

Located in the nature-rich Akiruno City on the outskirts of Tokyo, this fishing spot utilizes a natural stream. Surrounded by the lush greenery of the Akigawa Valley, this spot offers an enjoyable fishing experience for everyone, from small children and women to beginners. Twice a day, in the morning and afternoon, a large number of trouts are released, making it easy for even novices to catch some.

While bait fishing is the main activity, there are also areas dedicated to lure fishing using artificial bait, tenkara fishing with a fly, and a constant fly-fishing zone. With ample rod rentals and bait for sale, visitors can essentially come empty-handed. A notable attraction is the free facility for barbequing, where you can savor the freshly caught rainbow trout right on the spot. There are also BBQ rentals and sales of foodstuffs and firewood, allowing you to enjoy a BBQ without bringing anything.

A popular dish at the adjoining fishing spot diner is "Masu Yaki Gama-Jyu". The juicy rainbow trout, grilled to perfection with a fragrant exterior, pairs exceptionally well with a slightly sweet soy sauce glaze. The "Grilled Trout with Salt," prepared by pros, is also a delicacy.

Highlights

  • With one fishing ticket, one can use a fishing rod and catch up to 10 trouts (release is prohibited).
  • No reservations needed for a BBQ, but you need fishing tickets for at least 70% of the total participants.
  • Fish are released twice a day, in the morning and afternoon.
