A popular soba restaurant about a 3-minute walk from Yubatake, the symbol of Kusatsu Onsen. Stop by for freshly milled soba at lunch, or enjoy soba dishes with drinks at night in its soba dining-bar style.

The house specialty, Mikuni Tsukejiru Soba, lets you pick one of four dipping broths, such as chopped duck seiro or charred green onion meat broth, and comes with a filling 2.5 servings of soba. At lunchtime, you can also enjoy sweets like sobagaki shiruko. Another highlight is the attached Wagyu bistro, where you can try seared meat sushi made with Akagi Wagyu.

The soba is made with meltwater from Kusatsu Shirogane Mountain, creating a gentle, clean taste. The katsuobushi (bonito flakes) used for the dashi is carefully selected through a contracted soba wholesaler, and even the tempura oil is vitamin E-rich cottonseed oil, chosen to feel lighter on the stomach. Every ingredient is chosen with care.
