Taiko no Yu
26 different baths and stone sauna to try at this spot, plus the famed Gold and Silver springs of Arima Onsen.
Treat yourself to a pure recharge at this spot with over 26 different bath types and stone saunas, plus the famed Gold and Silver springs of Arima onsen, known for having the highest concentration of hot spring minerals in Japan. For open-air baths, take your pick from any of six varieties including rock baths, Goemon baths, artificial carbonated baths, and herbal baths. Inside, the main bath floors offer a dip in waters sourced from the Kinsen and Ginsen springs.
The steam baths are just as varied, with special themes like the Golden Tea Room inspired by the one said to have been created by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Japan's first outdoor rock sauna footbath, the Kinsen Maku-yu Rock Sauna, themed after the Edo-period private baths for a reviving soak that’s never boring.
At the springs there’s even a full menu of dining options, including an all-day dining restaurant serving seasonal premium sake from around Japan at special prices. There’s also a nostalgic food court styled like an old-time street market, making it a popular spot for an easy bite. Top it off with a taste of the region, trying local "Arima Cider" as well!
