Rokkatei Rokka no Tsuyu

Among Rokkatei’s popular products, Rokka no Tsuyu is perhaps the most enchanting for its jewel-like appeal. Opening the small, flower-patterned tin reveals six colorful types of candy, each resembling a precious gem.

At first glance, these treats look like hard candies, but they’re actually bonbons with fragrant liqueurs encased in a thin sugar shell. Each tin includes three pieces of six flavors: wine, brandy, plum wine, peppermint, Cointreau, and haskap (a tart berry). The delicate sugar coating adds a satisfying crunch, and the gentle release of alcohol creates a distinctive, lingering flavor. The peppermint bonbon offers a fresh, cool taste, while the haskap is pleasantly sweet and tangy, and the plum wine bursts with the aroma of ume.

Despite their vibrant colors, Rokkatei uses only natural colorants like shiso, haskap, and gardenia, reflecting the company’s commitment to quality ingredients. However, because they contain alcohol, these treats are not recommended for children, pregnant individuals, or those sensitive to alcohol.
