Last update :

Spanning a vast 18.3 hectares, this botanical garden gathers about 200,000 plants from around 10,000 species worldwide. The "Great Greenhouse," a symbolic feature of the garden and among the largest in Western Japan, showcases a year-round bloom of colorful flowers, primarily orchids, creating a tropical atmosphere. Additionally, the "Begonia Greenhouse" allows year-round viewing of what is said to be the world's most beautiful bulb begonias. The garden also features a "Cactus" greenhouse with about 330 species suited to dry climates, and a "Fuchsia Greenhouse" for cultivating heat-sensitive fuchsias and rare wild orchids, among other all-weather exhibition facilities, offering enjoyment throughout the year.

Upon entering the main gate, visitors are greeted by the "Great Flower Bed," beautifully adorned with seasonal flowers. The flower planting is updated 4 to 5 times a year, featuring poppies and begonias in spring, coleus and pentas in summer, alternanthera and salvia in fall, and pansies and cyclamen in winter. The use of seasonal flowers in hanging baskets and three-dimensional flower beds is also noteworthy.

The garden includes restaurants and cafes, allowing visitors to bring their own food and beverages for a leisurely day-long stay. A shop selling original goods and a flower shop offering various plants for home enjoyment are also on site.
