Nagoya is the city to find one of the world’s largest cosplay festivals since first opening over 20 years ago. The roster of participating countries continues to grow, amassing more than 200,000 attendees each year to this globally recognized event.
Slated across 3 days, their full programming and events at a number of major venues including Oasis 21, the Aichi Arts Center, and Hisaya-odori Park. The highlight of the summit is the World Cosplay Championship, an event where candidates who’ve won regional qualifiers in their home countries come together to compete for the crown of best cosplayer in the world. See as contestants bring anime, manga, and video game characters to life with impressive accuracy and creativity that’s always a major thrill.
Beyond the championship, the event features a pre-opening party with special guests, a grand cosplay parade in Osu Shopping District, and a variety of stage performances.
During the summit, Oasis 21, Hisaya-odori Park, and Osu Shopping District are transformed into cosplay-friendly zones, offering a perfect opportunity for photo shoots and interactions with fellow cosplayers from around the world.
