Kyoto Yumoto Hatoya Zuihokaku

Just a five-minute walk from Kyoto Station’s west exit, Kyoto Yumoto Hatoya Zuihokaku is a rare city-center ryokan that features a natural hot spring drawn from its own on-site source. The spring water, pumped from 910 meters underground and originating from geological layers some 150 million years old, is rich in minerals and renowned as a “beauty bath.” The large communal baths include two distinct styles-Higashiyama-no-Yu, with stone construction and striking wall art, and Nishiyama-no-Yu, infused with the gentle aroma of hinoki cypress-operating on a rotating men’s and women’s schedule.

The hotel offers 102 guestrooms, primarily Japanese-Western style, allowing guests to choose according to their travel needs. There are also luxurious special rooms with private natural hot spring baths, offering spacious comfort that belies the hotel’s proximity to Kyoto Station.
