Milk Stand Akihabara

Milk Stand Akihabara is a specialty shop for bottled milk located in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
This long-established stand has been in business for more than 70 years since it opened in 1950. It is on the 3rd floor of JR Akihabara Station, on platform 5 of the JR Sobu Line.

Its signature items are bottled milk varieties from regions all across Japan. In particular, "Minna no Gyunyu," a low-temperature pasteurized milk that lets you fully enjoy the natural flavor of milk, and "Shinshu Azumino Milk," known for its rich yet clean, refreshing finish, are especially popular. They also serve flavored milk such as coffee milk and strawberry milk. In total, they stock around 40 varieties of bottled drinks. They also sell lactic acid drinks, sweet buns, and other light snacks.

The eat-in space is just a counter. As a rule, you return the empty bottle on the spot after you finish drinking. On the opposite side, on platform 6 of the JR Sobu Line, there is a sister shop called MILK SHOP LUCK Akihabara. This is a rare kind of milk stand where you can easily enjoy Japanese milk during the time between train transfers.
