Ginza Inz
A traditional shopping mall that was established in 1958 and is representative of Ginza. Located under the elevated highway and situated between the first basement and the second floor. It consists of three buildings, namely, Ginza Inz 1, 2, and 3.
The first time I visited Tokyo with a tour group, we stayed at the Ginza Daiichi Hotel. At night, our guide took us to eat at a restaurant under the elevated highway. That was over 20 years ago!
Lake Biwa
Lake Biwa, which belongs to the first-grade Yodo River system and is located in the center of Shiga Prefecture, occupies an area of about 670 k㎡, or about one-sixth of the prefecture's land area, and is the largest lake in Japan in terms of both area and water storage capacity, with 27.5 billion tons of water pouring in through rivers from the surrounding mountains of Ibuki, Suzuka, and Hira, all of which are over 1,000 meters high.
The Japanese call Lake Biwa the 'Mother Lake.' It's a place you have to visit at least once in your life. There's a park that's 4.8 kilometers long around it. Having coffee and taking a walk here is really relaxing.
Izumo Taisha
Izumo Taisha is one of the most revered, ancient shrines in Japan, along with Ise jingu Shrine. Its records go as far back as writings from the Kojiki, Japan’ oldest historical account compiled in 712. The deity enshrined here is Okuninushi no Okami, who is known as the deity of love and marriage.。
It's not just the sacred straw rope that stands out—the main gate is also really impressive.
World Beer Museum Tokyo Skytree Town Solamachi Branch
It is a beer restaurant which offers more than 200 types of beer, and food from around the world.
Came here with my Japanese friends to try beers from all over the world. Great experience!
Alice in fantasy book - Alice’s Fantasy Restaurant -
This themed restaurant featuring a motif of “Alice in Wonderland” is located on the 2nd basement floor of a building along Yasukuni-dori. The moment you step off the elevator, a world like stepping into a picture book spreads out before you.
This is a dream restaurant inspired by the Alice in Wonderland story, and they really don't cut any corners. Every little detail is done with so much care. Compared to the Alice restaurant in Taiwan, it's on a whole different level 🤔. Even the food is beautifully presented and tastes great 😋.
Shinjuku Suehiro-tei
Also called an entertainment hall, Suehiro-tei is an auditorium for traditional Japanese performances such as Rakugo and Manzai, as well as lectures. Sense the history in this wooden structure, where many paper lanterns highlight the names of performers.
When I walked by, I had no idea what was going on inside. I just thought the building looked super traditional, and all the Japanese names written outside seemed really interesting, so I snapped a photo. Turns out, it's actually a place for traditional Japanese performances! Haha 😄
