Shibuya Stream
This 35-floor high-rise building houses offices and businesses, and it was built in 2018 by redeveloping the former platform of Shibuya Station’s Toyoko Line, the area around the tracks, and the area around the Shibuya River.
This is a new landmark in Shibuya. With the nearby Shibuya River improvements, the whole area has a romantic vibe.
Roppongi Hills
This multipurpose commercial complex opened as a Roppongi landmark in 2003. In the middle of Roppongi Hills stands Mori Tower, a 54-story skyscraper office building rising 238 meters from the ground.
You can get a 360-degree view here. It's an awesome spot to see Tokyo's night scenery.
Akashi Kaikyo Bridge
The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge connects Honshu and Awaji Island. It is known as the world's longest suspension bridge, with a total length of 3,911 meters and a distance of 1,991 meters between the two main towers. Together with the Onaruto Bridge, it connects the Kansai area to Shikoku, and is a popular tourist route.
Standing on the glass floor at Maiko Walkway gives you a totally unique feeling. It's a pretty cool experience.
Mt. Rokko (Rokkosan)
Mt. Rokko (Rokkosan), the prominent peak of the Rokko Mountains, is 931 meters above sea level. With easy access by cable car to the top of the mountain, the mountain is full of various facilities that offer physical activities, romantic nightscapes, and more.
Riding the retro cable car up the mountain was great—the temperature was cool and comfortable. Besides enjoying the alpine plants, you can also catch a beautiful night view of Osaka once it gets dark.
Sandan-kyo
Designated as a national Special Place of Scenic Beauty, Sandan-kyo is known as a remarkable secluded site in Western Japan. The entire ravine measures about 16 kilometers.
Walking through Sandan-kyo really reminded me of Guilin in Guangxi, China. It's amazing to see what nature can create.
Okunoshima (Rabbit Island)
A small island of about 4 km in circumference, designated as Seto Inland Sea National Park. It is also known as the "island wiped off the map" because it was once home to a poison gas factory. Today, the island is home to more than 500-600 rabbits. In recent years, it has become a hot topic on the Internet and social networking sites as "Rabbit Island," attracting many visitors from Japan and abroad.
No matter where you go on the island, you'll always spot rabbits. Watching them live so freely here really feels like paradise for them. I'm honestly happy for these little guys 🐰
