Minoo Falls

The name "Minoo Ohtaki" (Minoo Falls) comes from the resemblance of the cascading waterfall to the farming tool "Mi". The waterfall has been selected as “One of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan”, and the beautiful scenery can be enjoyed throughout the year. In 1986, Minoo Park, where Minoo Falls is located, was selected as “One of the 100 best Forests for Forest Relaxation Therapy”.

It's pretty close to Osaka City and doesn't take long to get there. I stayed one night at a hot spring hotel in Minoo, then walked to the waterfall the next morning to enjoy a forest bath.
Kumano-Nachi Taisha

In 662 BC, Kamuyamato-iware-hikonomikoto (became Emperor Jinmu) dedicated Nachi Waterfall as a god in this shrine. It is the head shrine of Kumano Shrines all over in Japan, known as one of the three major Kumano Shrines. It has another name, “Musubi no Miya” which means the shrine to bring a marriage and wishes to come true.
