Moominvalley Park
Moominvalley Park is a theme park that takes you through the world of Moomin, making great use of the beautiful nature in Hanno. This is the first Moomin park outside of Finland, the home country of the series’ original author.
The park is huge and super green. It's so nice to take a walk here. Even the restrooms are thoughtfully designed, and you can spot Moomin everywhere.
Enoshima Iwaya Caves
Located at the far end of Enoshima, discover sea caves carved by the sheer force of erosion and waves. Locals have it that the caves were a site for spiritual training by historical figures such as Kobo Daishi and Nichiren Shonin. Minamoto no Yoritomo is also believed to have prayed here before his conquest of Fujiwara no Hidehira in the Oshu region. As you cross the red-railed Iwaya Bridge leading to the cave entrance, don’t miss the stunning views of the vast ocean and Mt. Fuji looming in the distance.
On the way to the caves, you get to enjoy some truly stunning ocean views. Especially on a clear day, the blue sea and sky just blend together—it's so refreshing!
Zenkoji Temple
This historical large-scaled temple is about 59,000 square meters (about 5.9 ha) and was founded 1400 years ago. Many Buddhist facilities fill the compound. Some of them are; Daikanjin and Daihongan (they are also independent temples), and guests' quarters. This temple was founded at a specific time before the various subsects of Buddhism came into being. Some of the worshippers were those with power at the time, such as Minamoto no Yoritomo and Tokugawa Ieyasu , as well as the common people.
Zenkoji Temple isn't just a historic site—it's also a deeply spiritual place.
Pabron
The “Pabron” brand of medicine, produced by Taisho Pharmaceuticals, is one of Japan’s most common cold medicines.
The powder doesn't taste great, so you'll need plenty of water with it.

Toba Aquarium
Opened in 1955, this long-beloved aquarium once started with about 50 different breeding species, but became the home of the most species in Japan when it surpassed over 1,200 species in 2013. The Toba Aquarium is also the only place in Japan that raises dugongs, offering a number of different exhibits and shows to enjoy during your visit.
This is a great spot for families traveling with kids.
