You see this kind of rusk a lot in Japan, but this shop's version is really tasty. They have all kinds of flavors, so it's perfect as a souvenir for friends and family!

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel while exploring the Lake Biwa area. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the view is great, and breakfast was pretty good too!

Japan has a lot of cherry blossom spots, but Mt. Yoshino is covered with sakura and looks absolutely stunning in spring!

Spend 2-3 days slowly exploring both the east and west shores of Lake Biwa. The trip felt super relaxing and enjoyable.

This isn't a typical spot for Asian tourists, but I really like these less crowded, more natural places. It's just a shame we didn't get to see the beautiful sunset.
