Lake Biwa Otsu Prince Hotel
The renowned architect Kenzo Tange designed this 38-story tower hotel. Its convention hall is one of the largest in Japan and often used for events, exhibitions, international conference, etc.
The lakeside view is really nice. But it seems like there isn't much to do around here at night.
Ise Kawasaki Townscape
Kawasaki is located just northeast of Ise Jingu and bolstered the town under the nickname “Ise’s Kitchen” with the many people who came along their visits to Ise during the Edo Period. The town stretches along the middle reaches of the Seta River that flows through Ise City and, despite a few spots that are undergoing renovation after water damage, you can still see a number of historic buildings that remain along its the streetscape today.
Just sitting quietly, sipping coffee, and admiring the structure inside the old house. Such a relaxing experience.
Ryusei-no-Taki Falls・Ginga-no-Taki Falls
The Ishikari River is a first-class river that flows through the central-western part of Hokkaido and empties into the Sea of Japan. Sounkyo, located along the Ishikari River, has a large gorge with many waterfalls falling from the cliffs over a distance of 24 kilometers. Two of the most beautiful waterfalls are "Ryusei-no-Taki Falls・Ginga-no-Taki Falls."
The tour bus takes you right up to the waterfall, so you don't have to walk far. It's a super easy spot to visit.
Tokachigawa Onsen
Tokachigawa Onsen is located in the Tokachi Plain in the center of Hokkaido. The "Moor hot springs" are rare in Japan, and rich in organic plant matter. As a result, the hot water has a high temperature of 55-60 degrees Celsius and gushes out from a location 500-700 meters underground.
I once stayed at the Daiheigen Hotel and took a hot air balloon ride early in the morning. It only lasted a few minutes, but it was my first time and such a memorable experience.
