Fuchu City’s Kyodo-no-Mori Museum

The main section of this museum focuses on the history, folklore, and nature of Fuchu City, located to the west of Tokyo, and also features a planetarium. The museum’s premises spans about 140,000㎡, and it holds not only the main museum, but also old farmhouses and townhouses, as well as historic buildings.

Takayama Jin-ya

Takayama Jin-ya is the office building where magistrates and officers were working in the Edo Period. It consists of offices and storage. In 1692 when Hida Province came under the Tokugawa shogunate’s direct control, governors and magistrates sent from Edo performed official duties here for the next 176 years.

Toraya Akasaka Branch

Founded in Kyoto during the late Muromachi period, Toraya expanded to Tokyo in 1869, following the capital's move from Kyoto to Tokyo. Although the Kyoto shop continued its operations, Toraya established its presence in Akasaka, Tokyo from 1879. In 1964, they relocated to their current location, and in 2018, the entire store underwent a renovation and celebrated its grand reopening.

Mohri Garden

The Mohri Garden in Roppongi Hills is an oasis in the city, a place to relax amidst the hustle and bustle of glamorous tourist spots. The Mohri Garden has its roots in the upper residence of the Mohri family, the lords of Chofu Domain, built during the Edo period. In the Meiji period, it became the residence of Rokuichiro Masushima, the founder of Chuo University, after World War II it was the Tokyo factory of Nikka Whisky, and then it was acquired by TV Asahi. In 2003, it was developed into its current form when Roppongi Hills opened.
