Saishikan
The name "Saishikan" is derived from the hope that those who study kendo here will "become colorful and unique samurai”. Kendo is often considered a hard sport in which one fights vigorously against an opponent, but at Saishikan, guests can experience kendo while having fun.
You can dress up and take photos here! You get to wear kendo gear, including the uniform, mask, and chest protector. Plus, you can even take home the towel used under the mask as a souvenir! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nomura family Samurai Residence Garden Viewing
In the "Nagamachi Bukeyashiki Ato," where stone pavements and earthen walls are still visible, the remains of residences where the samurai of the Kaga domain lived still remain. The Nomura family, located in the corner of the samurai residences, is the former samurai residence of Nomura Denbei Nobusada, a vassal of the Kaga domain lord Maeda Toshiie.
Inside the building, you can see a lattice ceiling made entirely of cypress, and there are also beautiful sliding door paintings by the Maeda family's official artist. It was really moving to see! 🥹

The Schulz Museum of Art is located in Santa Rosa, California, USA. The only official satellite of this museum in the world is the Snoopy Museum in Minami-Machida, Tokyo.
