Hashigui Iwa
The magma, poured out about 1500 years ago, has been eroded by the sea to form these rocky pillars in the ocean. 40 of them stand along from south to east in a 850m-long line.
This coastal area in the southwest of Wakayama has some famous spots like Hashigui Iwa, Cape Shionomisaki, and Kaikongo. The scenery and vibe here are totally different from Kyoto or Osaka. I really recommend exploring Wakayama on your own!
