Mt. Haruna and Haruna Jinja
At the heart of Gunma Prefecture, Mt. Haruna looms north of Kanto Valley. It is called one of the three Jomo Mountains, which are major mountains in Gunma along with Mt. Akagi and Mt. Myogi. To the west, there is Ikaho Onsen. Their hot spring is thought to derive from Mt. Haruna’s volcanic activity.
The scenery is absolutely stunning, with a unique Japanese vibe.
