Tokyo, GINZA SIX - Japan's First Café Dior by Pierre Hermé

Last update :

A new landmark in Ginza, GINZA SIX, had its grand opening on April 20th of 2017!
This time, I visited GINZA SIX's #1 luxury café, Dior.
Another French brand, Pierre Hermé Paris, is in charge of the café’s sweets selection.
This Ginza location offers a Japanese goods-only menu, made with carefully selected Japan-produced ingredients.

Japan's first House of Dior is now open from B1F to 4F of GINZA SIX.
The café is located on the 4th floor, but this floor is not accessible from most other floors. As such, you need to enter from the Dior-exclusive entrances on B1F or 1F and go up to 4F by elevator.

The interior is surprisingly cute and casual. It's pretty spacious too, with 50 available seats.
It looks like most of the customers are women.

Menus
Menus

Menus are distributed on iPads.
Their main dishes are single-plate desserts, made with fresh seasonal fruits. There are 7 available varieties.
Other available items include macaroons and chocolates.

It's like a work of art! Of course, the tableware is from Dior as well.

Strawberries, raspberries, a yogurt sorbet, and lemon confit top the watermelon, and violet-flavored candies shaped to look like watermelon seeds are scattered across the plate.
The fruit is fresh and delicious.

The financier that comes with the drink is delicious as well.

Available drinks include original-blend black tea, fresh juices, coffee, soy milk, and soft drinks made with chocolate, as well as alcoholic drinks like wine and champagne.

This is an extremely high-class café, with drinks and dessert for one person costing over 4000 yen, but it is an excellent choice to visit on special days like a girls' day out or anniversary.

Kenji Nishiyama - Ginza de Lunch

In addition to running an IT consulting firm, I spend my lunch hours scouring the nearby Ginza area for the best places to eat.
