This is one of the steepest staircases I've ever seen. Climbing up here is really fun, but you definitely need to be in good shape. At the top, there's a shrine with a koi pond. The koi here are the best! Feeding them is a lot of fun. Fish food costs 100 yen.

Atago Shrine
A Shrine to the God of Fire at the Peak of the City Center.
Established in 1603, Atago Shrine enshrines the god of fire prevention. Aside from fire prevention and disaster prevention, Atago Shrine is also said to bring luck in love, printing, computers, and business successes, thanks to its relation to the phrase “related to fire.” The shrine is located at the top of Atago Hill, located 26 meters above sea level, and it is the highest natural point in the 23 wards of Tokyo. Here you can experience the four seasons in all their glory without feeling like you’re inside an office district.
The steep stone steps that lead up to Atago Shrine are known as the “stairway to success (Otoko-zaka),” and they were made famous by a legend from the Edo period of a young samurai who rode his horse up and down the stairs. Visitors can also reach the summit by taking the elevator located on the east side of the Atago Tunnel.
