Founded in 1931, this long-established Western-style restaurant moved from Shinkawa to Nihonbashi Muromachi due to the redevelopment of the Nihonbashi area. The restaurant is divided into two floors: the first floor offers a casual menu that lets diners enjoy the taste of a venerable Western-style restaurant, while the second floor offers a more sophisticated Western-style menu in a relaxed atmosphere.

The signature dish is the "Tampopo Omurice (Inspired by Juzo Itami)", created by film director Juzo Itami and featured in the movie "Tampopo". The dish features a soft omelet on top of chicken rice that oozes out tender egg when cut into.

On the second floor, in addition to the authentic Western-style menu, Taimeiken's traditional "small plate dishes" are also available, allowing diners to enjoy a variety of dishes at once, adding to the restaurant's appeal.
