This unique lodging space in Shibamata sits on a quiet corner just a 3 minute walk from Shibamata Taishakuten. It was once a Katsushika Ward building before it was renovated and reopened in 2017. Now it includes 47 various rooms to stay, including six different types of guestrooms both with and without en suite bathrooms. It features wallet-friendly prices, and a new design that still includes the old-time charm of the original walls and floors. Complete with impeccably clean men’s and women’s showers, laundry, beautiful kitchen and common room, it provides a truly amazing stay for the price. All guestrooms are furnished with locks to ensure optimum privacy. On the 4th floor you’ll find 14 “Art Twin Rooms” decorated with Shibamata-themed all original art, designed by 14 international and Japanese artists. These rooms can be requested upon availability. The 1st floor room includes an en suite bathroom and comfortable, barrier-free western design. There are even 100 yen per hour bikes available to rent for those ready to sight see around the shitamachi area. Located about 60 minutes from both Narita Airport and Shinjuku, guests can use this as their home base to explore both Shibamata and Tokyo, especially when planning a longer stay.
