Shibamata FU-TEN

The only accommodation in Shibamata, it is located in a quiet neighborhood about a 3-minute walk from Shibamata Taishakuten. Formerly a Katsushika City facility, the building was renovated and opened as a hotel in 2017. Its 47 guest rooms are available in six different types to suit a wide range of guests, including rooms with shared or private bathroom facilities.
Despite its affordable rates, the hotel features a stylish design that deliberately preserves some of the building’s old walls and floors. It also offers excellent value, with a full range of clean shared facilities, including separate shower rooms for men and women, laundry facilities, a well-maintained kitchen, and a common room. All guest rooms are private and lockable. The fourth floor has 14 Art Twin Rooms, each depicting Shibamata through the work of one of 14 artists from Japan and abroad. Guests may request a specific room, subject to availability. The hotel also has one universally designed room with a private bathroom on the first floor. Bicycle rentals are available from ¥100 per hour, making them a convenient option for leisurely sightseeing around the traditional neighborhood.
Located about 60 minutes from both Narita Airport and Shinjuku, the hotel is a convenient base not only for exploring Shibamata but also for sightseeing throughout Tokyo, and is well suited to extended stays.
