Large and small electronics shops cluster in this prominent shopping town in Japan. Nicknamed as Akiba, it is a popular spot not only domestically but also globally. Home appliances, PCs, smartphones, the latest digital devices, of course, but animations, games, figurines, model trains and other pop culture items are gathered here. Specialty shops which provide the newest to retro goods dot the area. Some sell PC parts. It is a place for treasure hunting. Many cafes with servers dressed as maids or butlers are competing with each other as well.

JR, Tokyo Metro, subways and other lines are conveniently connected to Akihabara. Mega stores around the train station are nice to visit, but walk on Chuo Dori Street which is blocked off from traffic on Sundays. Sometimes events are held there. Check out their schedule and have fun.
