ShinPuhKan

The ShinPuhKan, a commercial facility in Karasuma Oike, reopened in 2020, blending historical architecture with new construction.
The brick-built "Preserved Building" is a renovated structure of the old Kyoto Central Telephone Office from 1926, designated as Kyoto City’s first registered cultural property.
The newly constructed wing, designed by renowned architect Kengo Kuma, who also worked on the new National Stadium, added a modern touch to the complex.

The Ace Hotel Kyoto, an American hotel chain making its first foray into Asia, occupies floors 1 to 7, while the basement houses the Uplink Kyoto mini-theater, known for its curated film selection.
With over 20 stores including fashion, goods, and restaurants, ShinPuhKan hosts many unique and first-time shops in Kansai and Kyoto.

Directly connected to the Karasuma Oike subway station, it enhances walkability and contributes to the revitalization of the surrounding area, living up to its name as a fresh breeze in Kyoto.
