Watarase Onsen

Located in Watarase Onsen, part of the Kumano Hongu Onsen Village, this inn offers two distinct accommodations and ten hot spring facilities. The Sasayuri building, surrounded by vast lawns, primarily features spacious Japanese-Western rooms. Yamayuri has a tranquil atmosphere, focusing on traditional Japanese-style rooms.

All hot springs here are natural and fed directly from the source, with the clear sodium bicarbonate spring known for its skin-beautifying effects. The grand open-air bath, set amid stunning natural scenery, is open to both overnight and day-use guests. In the evening, guests can soak while admiring a sky full of stars. Other options include private open-air baths and the Sasayuri large public bath for guests only, allowing you to choose your ideal bathing experience. Colorful yukata are available for rent, perfect for strolling around the onsen town.

Meals feature an abundance of mountain and sea delicacies, including Kumano beef and whale sashimi, providing a memorable culinary experience.
