Arishima Takeo, a key figure of the "Shirakaba-ha" (White Birch Society) and known for works like "The Conflict of Life" and "A Certain Woman," is celebrated at this museum. It's established on the site of the Arishima Farm, developed by Arishima's father, Takeo, to commemorate the writer's life.

The museum, shaped like Hokkaido, showcases his writings, letters, photographs, and more, highlighting Arishima's career and his groundbreaking "Land Liberation," where he freely offered his farm to tenant farmers.

Holding over 10,000 pieces, illustrator Hideyuki Fujikura's "harie" artworks depict Hokkaido's seasonal landscapes, making it especially popular among international visitors for offering a journey through Hokkaido without leaving Niseko.

The museum also features a book café in collaboration with a popular Niseko coffee shop. Here, visitors can enjoy views of the majestic Mount Yotei, dubbed "Ezo Fuji," and the Niseko Mountain Range while savoring original blend coffee and Mocha soft inspired by Arishima's works. The beautifully maintained garden, commemorating his 110th birthday, is also worth exploring (Cafe use only is free.).
