Using forest materials harvested from Mt. Hakusan, the hotel features an on-site distillery that refines essential oils. The moment you step inside, you’ll be met by a gentle herbal aroma—steam from the distillation process. The 10-story building with one basement level is a renovation of an avant-garde gallery building where crafts from around the world were once traded. The interior retains its original arched design elements and offers 18 guest rooms.

There are five room types to match your travel style, including High Floor Suites on floors 7–9, Superior rooms with two queen beds side by side, and minimalist Standard rooms. Thoughtful touches are everywhere, including an in-room minibar with drinks connected to Kanazawa (some items are extra).

Plans range from a stay with breakfast—where you can choose your favorite of three medicinal rice porridge options—to packages with dinner that let you request priority reservations for a platinum seat at respiracion, one of Kanazawa’s hardest-to-book restaurants. As an add-on option, you can also reserve the rooftop Finnish-style sauna room for private use.
