If West Lake in Hangzhou is famous for its ancient Chinese riverside willows and boats, then the Kurashiki Bikan area is like a classic Japanese drama set. Every photo looks like a postcard—absolutely beautiful!

Strolling through the alleys and admiring the traditional Japanese houses, you can really feel Kurashiki's unique retro vibe.

Every corner of this beautiful town looks like a picture. There are lots of cute shops, so just walking around is fun. The second photo is of a shop that sells sake, so there’s a sugidama hanging at the entrance. I tried the peach parfait at Kurashiki Momoko, which is famous for its seasonal fruit parfaits. It had a whole peach on top! The type of peach changes with the season. The parfait was big enough to share between two people. It gets crowded, but if you love fruit, I definitely recommend it.

It feels really nice walking down the street here. Sitting down with a cup of coffee is super relaxing, and you get to enjoy the beautiful scenery and watch people passing by.

Kurashiki Bikan has some of the most nostalgic scenery in Japan. Walking in, you'll find old residential streets, and the peaceful atmosphere even earned it a Michelin 2-star rating... It's just so beautiful! ❤️
