All Reviews of Wakayama Castle

I took a stroll around Wakayama Castle.

Thanks to my friend in Osaka, they even drove me all the way from Osaka to visit Wakayama Castle and the grounds.

It was a shame that cherry blossom season 🌸 was already coming to an end.

Wakayama Prefecture, in Japan, is located on the Kii Peninsula.

It’s known for the Kumano Kodo, Mount Koya, Shirahama Onsen, and Wakayama Castle, and it’s a famous hot spring getaway.

It’s also only about a 1.5-hour drive from Osaka, which makes it perfect for a quick 1-2 day trip.

It was my first time visiting Wakayama, and I was surprised by how few people there were in the city!

Other than the area around the train station, everywhere else felt pretty quiet,

and there were very few tourists too.

I really didn’t expect that.

A place that doesn’t need any editing at all.

No matter how you shoot it, it looks beautiful.

Wakayama Castle is a great spot to enjoy different flowers throughout the year. The cherry blossoms in spring are gorgeous. It's definitely one of the best places for flower lovers! 👍

When planning a trip to Wakayama, Wakayama Castle is definitely one of the must-see landmarks. There are also plenty of other great spots in Wakayama City, like the historic Saikazaki Fishing Port and amusement parks. It's a place worth visiting again! 👍

The original castle tower was destroyed by American bombing during World War II, so the current one is a reconstruction. There's also a free zoo at the base of the mountain in Wakayama Castle Park.

The views are gorgeous, and the night scenery is beautiful too. The grounds aren't huge, but the staff are super friendly.

Standing at the top of the castle and looking down at the streets below, I felt like I ruled the world!
