When you come to Yokohama Minato Mirai, of course you have to ride the distinctive YOKOHAMA AIR CABIN at least once! Sitting inside the transparent gondola and slowly rising into the air, you can see the city streets below and the harbor scenery ahead. It's a short ride, but it really feels like you're traveling.

This time, I bought a cable car and Ferris wheel combo ticket, making it really convenient to check off two classic attractions at once! During the day, the view is wide open, and you can enjoy the cityscape of Minato Mirai. If I get the chance next time, I'd also like to ride it at night. Just imagining all of Yokohama lighting up—it should be unbelievably beautiful.

If you’re visiting Yokohama, you have to try the YOKOHAMA AIR CABIN! It’s Japan’s first urban circulating ropeway, and in just a few minutes, you can look down from above at the beautiful scenery of Minato Mirai. It has a different charm during the day and at night.

If you’re also planning to ride the Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel, I recommend buying the ropeway + Ferris wheel combo ticket. It’s a better deal than buying them separately, and you can enjoy both the aerial ropeway views and the high-up Ferris wheel scenery in one go. Perfect for taking memorable photos!

Luckily, there weren't many people that day, so the views from above were really beautiful.

Riding the cable car over the city was pretty exciting!

Riding the cable car, you get a clear view of the entire Minato Mirai 21 area through the transparent cabin.

Last month, I was lucky enough to ride the world's most advanced urban cable car, the YOKOHAMA AIR CABIN! It's only five minutes in the air, but I was super excited the whole time. I kept thinking I have to bring my family here next time they visit from home. After the ride, don't rush back—take some time to explore the area. It's really peaceful and charming. The tracks in my photo are apparently remnants of an old railway that used to connect the docks for cargo.
