Sakamoto Ryoma is one of the key figures of the Meiji government in Japan. I’d heard about him a lot, but wasn’t very familiar. Visiting this museum helped me learn more about his life and history, and it even inspired me to read more about him after I got home!

The museum has the most complete collection of Sakamoto Ryoma's letters and manuscripts, including some rare plans related to overthrowing the shogunate. Really precious.
