All Reviews of Cape Hedo

At Cape Hedo in northern Okinawa, the moment I saw the ocean in front of me, I couldn't help but stop to take pictures! The deep blue water paired with the dramatic coastline was incredibly beautiful, and when the weather is good, it's so gorgeous that you won't want to leave!

Looking out from the cape, you can feel the vastness of the sea and sky merging into one, and the ocean breeze blowing against your face feels especially pleasant. It's not as busy as attractions in the city and instead has a more natural, peaceful atmosphere.

Located at the northernmost point of Okinawa's main island, Cape Hedo is a wonderful place to experience the tremendous power of the ocean and magnificent rock formations firsthand!

Standing atop the sheer cliffs, you can take in the waves crashing where the Pacific Ocean and East China Sea meet, and the vast, unobstructed ocean view is truly refreshing. The park is also home to the historically significant Monument to the Struggle for the Return to the Homeland, and as you stroll along the paths, you can admire the natural scenery of Yanbaru National Park in the distance. On clear days, you can even see Yoron Island in Kagoshima Prefecture. It's an Okinawa destination that travelers who love nature and history shouldn't miss!

After traveling all the way to the northernmost part of Okinawa, we finally arrived at Cape Hedo! Looking out from the cliffs, the deep blue sea and magnificent rocky coastline were so beautiful that I couldn't stop taking photos.

The weather was excellent on the day we visited. The sky was deep blue, the sun was bright, and the ocean sparkled in the sunlight. The scenery didn't disappoint at all. Standing at the northernmost point with the sea breeze blowing and the endless ocean before me, I really felt a sense of accomplishment, like, “I've made it all the way to the northernmost part of Okinawa!”

If you like nature, ocean views, and road trips, Cape Hedo is well worth adding to your itinerary. When the weather is good, the scenery here is incredibly beautiful, and you won't want to leave.
