The whole space also feels very comfortable.
After shopping, I just hopped on the train and went home.
But the 3.3% tax-free deduction really hurts.

You can try “honeycomb ice cream” topped with a whole piece of real, natural honeycomb, enjoy the exceptionally rich and creamy “ASO MILK” soft serve from Aso, or buy a bottle of milk to savor at your leisure.

After leaving the mall and heading back into the station, don't miss the freshly baked croissants from the popular il FORNO del Mignon, where there's always a line. They're fragrant, crisp, and perfectly browned. Step outside to the station plaza, and you can hop right onto Kumamoto's century-old streetcar and travel through the city to the sound of its cheerful dinging. AMU PLAZA Kumamoto is a large shopping mall next to Kumamoto Station in Japan that combines shopping, dining, and entertainment. It has many clothing stores, lifestyle goods shops, and restaurants, meeting the needs of different visitors all in one place. The mall's biggest features are its spacious, bright interior and its greenery-filled atrium. There's also an outdoor observation area on the top floor where you can enjoy views of Kumamoto City.

When you get tired of shopping, you can stop at one of the many restaurants for a meal. I especially like browsing here along with Kumamoto Station. It's convenient for shopping, eating, and waiting for your train. If you're traveling to Kumamoto and passing through the station, I highly recommend setting aside some time to walk around and browse.

The signs were easy to follow, and the shopping area was compact with tons of options. At checkout, the staff kindly let us know that closing time was approaching and that we should hurry. They even offered us a discount!
