Kazurabashi Bridge (Fukui Prefecture)
Ikeda Town in Fukui Prefecture is home to abundant nature and beautiful satoyama countryside scenery. Spanning the Asuwa River, where trees seem to arch overhead, is a rare suspension bridge made from kazura vines, measuring 44 m long, 1.8 m wide, and 12 m high.
Very rustic, very countryside, and very thrilling. The whole bridge is woven from vines, and honestly it looks a little scary.
It sways when you walk on it, and the gaps under your feet are pretty big. If you look down, you can see the river right below, so anyone who’s nervous about that might end up with shaky legs 😅
