TRAIN SUITE SHIKI-SHIMA

TRAIN SUITE SHIKI-SHIMA is a full-blown luxury cruise train departing Ueno Station for a varied expedition across regions of eastern Japan. Depending on the season, guests can choose from one-night, two-night, or three-night itineraries. Routes include visits to acclaimed destinations including Mashiko in Tochigi Prefecture, Kobuchizawa and Hakushu in Yamanashi Prefecture, Hakodate and southern Hokkaido, and cultural sites across the Tohoku region.

Shinkyo Bridge

The World Heritage site "Shrines and Temples of Nikko" in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture, consists of the Futarasan Shrine, Toshogu Shrine, Rinno-ji Temple, and the surrounding archaeological sites. The Shinkyo Bridge, also known as "Yamasuge's Snake Bridge" or "Sacred Bridge", spans the entrance and is one of the cultural properties that constitute the World Heritage site. It is also designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan.
