Manza Onsen Ski Resort
Manza Onsen Ski Resort is located in the mountains at an elevation of 1,800 meters. Renowned for its excellent powder snow, it is affectionately called “Manza, the Powder Snow Paradise.” The resort has 14 courses in total, with many gentle slopes suited for beginners and intermediate skiers-ideal for practice and stepping up your skills.
I have to say, the powder quality at Manza is really good. The high elevation definitely gives it an advantage, but it also makes the conditions more weather-dependent. This time, the wind kept blowing snow into my face, and visibility was so poor that I didn't really dare ski normally. In the end, I had to call it a day early and go back for a soak in the hot springs.
