Nara Manyo Wakakusa no Yado Mikasa
Adjacent to the Kasugayama Primeval Forest, a World Heritage Site, this Japanese-style ryokan is located halfway up Mt. Wakakusa, known for its wild deer population. The hotel has received the 3 Red Pavilion rating in the Michelin Guide Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Nara 2012.
When I visited, the staff could speak not only Mandarin but also Cantonese with a Hong Kong accent. I was really surprised.
