Asahiyama Memorial Park
Established in 1970 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of Sapporo, this park sits on a 137.5-meter-high hill next to Mt. Moiwa and Maruyama. It offers sweeping views from the Sapporo cityscape to the Ishikari Plain and the Sea of Japan. At night, it is known as one of Sapporo’s top night view spots and is popular with both locals and visitors. From spring to fall, the fountain is illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere together with the night view spreading out beyond it.
It’s a place worth visiting again and again.
