EDION Kyoto Kawaramachi Main Store

Aso Confectionery Tanoya
Located in the Monzenmachi shopping street near Aso Shrine, this patisserie is run by the third-generation patissier and owner, Masafumi Tano. The shop’s specialty is the "Tanoshu," crafted with Tano's dedication to fresh cream. The choux pastry, topped with roasted almonds, is filled with custard cream made with pure fresh cream that flows out deliciously. Despite using a rich cream with 48% milk fat, Tano’s exceptional skills ensure the taste remains light and delightful.
If you want to try some authentic Japanese sweets, Tanoya is definitely a spot you shouldn't miss.
Aso Farm Land
This sprawling park features over 1 million square meters of fun for kids and adults alike, designed by health experts to promote the healthiest of rejuvenating play. From sports facilities to and interactive corners to hot springs, foodie delights and hands-on activity centers, there are plenty of spots to enjoy throughout the day. You can even book an overnight in the dome-shaped stays nestled in the forest.
Soaking in the hot springs made me feel completely relaxed and took away all my fatigue. Plus, there are lots of healthy restaurants in the park, and enjoying the food there was really refreshing for both body and mind.
Kibitsu-jinja Shrine
Located at the northwestern foot of Kibi Nakayama, which is revered as the mountain of God, the main deity is Okibitsuhiko no Mikoto. The main shrine, which is designated as a national treasure, and the worship hall are directly connected, and is the only architectural style in Japan, "Kibitsu-zukuri." It was burnt down due to two fire incidents, but was rebuilt in 1425 during the time of Yoshimitsu Ashikaga.
The long corridor is the best spot for taking photos and checking in.
Kamegawa Onsen Hot Spring
Located along Beppu Bay, Kamegawa Onsen is one of Beppu's eight hot springs, and is rich in simple hot springs that are colorless, odorless, and gentle on the skin, as well as chloride springs that are highly effective in retaining heat.
It was my first time trying a sand bath. After 15 minutes, I was sweating all over and felt super tired—just wanted to take a nap.
Oshinkoshin Waterfall
Oshinkoshin Falls, also known as "Soubi Falls" because the stream splits into two halfway down, has been selected as one of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan.

Shima Spain Village
It is a theme park where visitors can enjoy attractions, parades, and shows. Many of the attractions are Spanish-themed, and an authentic flamenco show is one of the highlights. There are many photo-worthy spots in the park, where you can take a special picture that is different from your everyday life.
