Kikuyo Shokudo Main Store

Founded in 1956, Kikuyo Shokudo Main Store started as a small establishment with about ten seats but has now expanded to accommodate thirty seats. In response to its popularity, the diner has grown to include several locations: a branch a short 30-second walk from the main store, a Bay Area store, and a New Chitose Airport store, serving locals and travelers alike with dishes made from fresh ingredients sourced in Hakodate.

The place has a traditional and cozy vibe, and the prices are reasonable. Their signature dishes include the three-color rice bowl, salmon roe bowl, and various sashimi platters, all made with the freshest local ingredients.

Itsukushima Shrine

Itsukushima Shrine stands on the island of Itsukushima, which is also known as the island of gods. It is said that the shrine was founded in 593 by Saeki no Kuramoto, and the 3 goddess “Ichikishimahime-no-Mikoto,” “Tagorihime-no-Mikoto,” and “Tagitsuhime-no-Mikoto” are enshrined there. Famous for granting a wide list of benefits, these three goddesses as are worshipped as the goddesses of the sea, transportation, fortune, and art.

Akita Inu no Sato (Akita Dog Visitor Center)

Sightseeing in Odate-shi interchange facilities opened in 2019 near JR Odate Station. The building is modeled after the Taisho era Shibuya station building, named after Japan's most famous Akita Inu dog, "Chuken Hachiko" (loyal dog Hachi).

Hirosaki Castle

Tsugaru Family resided in this castle in the Edo Period where the government of Hirosaki Feudal Domain was set up. In the Meiji Period, according to the ordinance to abolish castles, it was abandoned and later became a park.

Shinsekai Hon-dori Shopping Street

Tsutenkaku Tower, Jan Jan Yokocho Street, Spa World are in Ebisu-Higashi, Naniwa District. People started calling this area Shinsekai (New World) in 1912, when Tsutenkaku and Japan’s second amusement park, Luna Park, opened. It meant a new-born tourist spot in Osaka. Since then, this amusement street has grown, used as a location for movies and TV dramas, and became a famous site in Osaka.
