Arakogawa Park

An urban park stretching along both banks of the Arakogawa River in Minato Ward, Nagoya. About 1,000 Somei Yoshino cherry trees line the riverside, and the park turns a soft pink each spring. The cherry-lined path runs for about 1 kilometer, drawing crowds for strolls and picnics. The annual Sakura Festival, held from late March to early April, features concerts, workshops, and food trucks timed to the cherry blossom season.

Meiji no Mori Minoh Quasi-National Park

A vast nature park located in a low mountain area at elevations of 100-600 m, covering an expansive Approx. 963 hectares. Loved by many visitors as a “treasure trove of nature,” it’s home to a diverse ecosystem including over 1,100 plant species, over 3,000 insect species, as well as wild birds and mammals. The park’s symbol, Minoh Falls, is a dynamic, famous waterfall with a 33 m drop and has been selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Waterfalls.

Date-Style Irori Grill Kuranosho Main Branch

Just a 3-minute walk from Sendai Station in Miyagi Prefecture, Kuranosho Main Branch is a long-established izakaya founded in 1987. As a gateway to Sendai, it’s loved not only by locals but also by travelers and business visitors. The house specialty is irori-yaki, grilled over a large irori hearth. Kitakyushu City Hibikinada Green Park

Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2022, Hibikinada Green Park is the largest park in the city. It surrounds the Tonoda Reservoir in Kitakyushu City and is a beautiful park that has been selected as one of the "Top 100 City Parks in Japan."

Kokura Castle

Hosokawa Tadaoki helped in the victory of the Battle of Sekigahara, entered the area and started building a castle in 1602. It took seven years to complete. Then, it was occupied by Lord Ogasawara, but all but the stone wall was burned down in 1866. After WWII, upon the citizens’ fervent request, the castle tower was rebuilt.

In early 17th century, Sanpei Ri and other potters found porcelain stones, and Arita succeeded in porcelain production for the first time in Japan. As the pottery industry grew, a town sprang up which is Uchiyama District.

Mifuneyama Rakuen

Mifuneyama is the symbol of Takeo Town. With its cliff in the background, Nabeshima Domain’s 28th Takeo lord, Nabeshima Shigeyoshi spent three years building a garden. This garden with a path encircling a big pond was completed in 1845. It can contain 10 Tokyo domes, boasting a vast 123-acre ground.
