Glover Garden
This outdoor museum preserves the residential area of the merchants who came to Nagasaki from overseas more than 160 years ago. The Garden stands on a hill overlooking Nagasaki Port, dotted with intriguing places to see.
The garden is full of blooming flowers! The Western-style houses look totally different at night under the lights—such a unique vibe compared to the daytime.
Unzen Onsen
Unzen Onsen, developed in the 19th century as a summer retreat for foreigners, is located in the heart of the Shimabara Peninsula in southern Nagasaki Prefecture. Nestled in a national park rich in nature, this unique onsen town is situated at an altitude of 700 meters, with numerous hotels and inns dotting the mountainside.
If you're looking for a quieter hot spring area, Unzen Onsen is a great choice. You can really relax and soak here.
Takasago Shuzo Inc.
Established in 1899, Kohiyama Shuzo, a historical Sake brewery, called as Nada in Hokkai, was the 4th-established Sake brewery in Asahikawa. Merged with Ishizaki Shuzo in 1965, a new company restarted as the name of Takasago Shuzo.
If you love Japanese sake, you absolutely can't miss this! Takasago Shuzo is a century-old brewery making amazing sake.
Jozankei Farm
Jozankei Farm is located on 21 hectares of lush fertile land and offers the only orchard garden in Japan that combines garden and orchard, as well as activities such as tree trekking and zip-lining etc.
There's also a famous tourist orchard here, plus you can try horseback riding too.
Taito Ward Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center
Located right in front of Kaminarimon, this tourist information center offers information about Asakusa and Taito Ward under the concept of "Find, Show, Support."
Every time I finish shopping in Asakusa, I come here to relax and have some coffee. Highly recommended!
Tochoji Temple (Fukuoka)
Tochoji Temple, located in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City, is a Shingon Sect temple said to have been first opened by the famous monk Kukai (Kobo Daishi) upon his return to Japan after completing his training in the Tang Dynasty. The official name of the temple is "Tochoji Temple," which was named by Kukai with the meaning "so that esoteric Buddhism may be transmitted eastward for a long time”.
Tochoji Temple has a special 'hell passage' built under the pedestal that you can visit for free. It's pretty unique!
Koinoki Shrine
Located within the precincts of Mizuta Tenmangu Shrine, which was built in 1226 to worship Sugawara Michizane, the god of learning, this is the only rare shrine in all of Japan dedicated to Koinomikoto, the god of love. This shrine is popularly known as the "god of good marriage and happiness" and the "god of love.
Koinoki Shrine is the only shrine in Japan dedicated to the god of love. You can pray for good luck in love here—it's actually quite famous in Japan!
Sakunami Onsen
"Sakunami Onsen", located about 40 minutes by car from downtown Sendai, has long been known as Sendai's "inner sanctum. Since its opening in 1796, it has been visited by many people, including cultural figures such as Shiki Masaoka.
There are delicious foods everywhere here, plus lots of traditional craft shops and famous sightseeing spots. There are so many things to see and do—highly recommend checking this place out!
