LUKE'S LOBSTER Omotesando Cat Street Store
The first Japanese branch of a restaurant specializing in lobster rolls, loved in Manhattan, New York, opened along Omotesando Cat Street in 2015 and relocated to a new location along Cat Street in 2021. After the relocation, a wooden deck terrace has been added, allowing customers to sit down and enjoy their meal in comfort.
The lobster is juicy and springy, seasoned with their special spices—seriously, it's so tasty!
[Closed Down]HAMA CAFE
Located about a 4-minute walk from Minatomirai Line's "Nihon-Odori" station, this cafe sits along Yokohama's tourist attraction, the "Osanbashi" pier. The concept is "Simple Modern," from the menu to the interior design. In addition to the lunchtime offerings, which include a limited quantity of new dishes, there are also great set menu deals available during cafe and dinner times.

Gyokusentei main store
A Chinese restaurant located just off the main street of Isezakicho Shopping Mall, once the bustling center of Yokohama. Established in Taisho 7 (1918), it's famous nationwide for its "Sanma-men," a Yokohama specialty. The interior evokes a nostalgic, Showa-era ambiance, attracting both locals and visitors from afar. The walls are adorned with autographs from celebrities.
Their Sanma-men is pretty good, and now their best-seller is the Sanma wonton noodles—everyone loves it.
Arabiya Coffee
Located just a short walk from the famous Hozenji temple, known for its moss-covered Mizukake Fudo statue, is this café. Established in 1951, the second-generation master continues to uphold the coffee's traditional taste.
This old-school coffee shop gives you a real sense of stepping back in time. The owner is great at making coffee, and the thick egg toast and French toast are also highly recommended!
IRACA COFFEE
Heijo Palace Site Historical Park, a national park spreading over the Heijo Palace Site, one of the constituent assets of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage "Ancient Capital of Nara" and a representative historical and cultural asset of Japan. Shujakumon Hiroba, which opened in March 2018 within the park, has five pavilions maintained under different themes of history, culture, and food.
The espresso and drip coffee here are just irresistible! You'll totally fall in love with their coffee.
Kyoto Sake Cafe Tomiya
Kyoto Sake Cafe Tomiya, a new venture by Tomiya, a liquor store established in 1932 in Kyoto, offers a casual café experience featuring Kyoto-brewed alcohol. Patrons can easily enjoy Kyoto's local sake, beer brewed in Kyoto, and Kyoto whiskey. The café also serves unique desserts like sake lees ice cream and vanilla ice cream with sake, characteristic of Tomiya.
This is a great spot to casually enjoy Kyoto sake and drinks made with sake! They also sell some limited edition items here.
Temari Sushi and Nihoncha Souden
Located on Shinmachi-dori, known for its old Machiya-style buildings, this restaurant specializes in Temari Sushi, Japanese tea, and unique dishes. Stepping through its beautifully grained wooden door reveals a lavish yet serene space, featuring a large, single-plank wooden table and an elegant black lacquered counter adorned with glittering rice stalk illustrations.
The place is filled with a calm and luxurious vibe. You can also enjoy a tasting experience of nigiri sushi and Japanese tea.
TARO CAFE
A popular sweets-and-coffee spot by the shore of Lake Inawashiro. The spacious cafe has large windows with lake views that change beautifully with the seasons, and the open terrace is especially popular in summer. The menu is packed with options like chiffon cake, cheesecake, and honey waffles topped with seasonal fruit and vanilla ice cream.

Iwahashi-kan
Named after Mt. Bandai, which looms to the north of Lake Inawashiro and is also referred to as "Iwahashi Mountain," Iwahashi-kan is renowned for its artisanal hand-made soba.
At Iwahashi-kan, you can really taste the heartfelt flavor of locally grown buckwheat. You can tell they put a lot of care into their soba.
Fuji Motosuko Resort
Located at the foot of Mount Fuji, about 4 km from Lake Motosu, one of the Fuji Five Lakes known for its beautiful views of Mount Fuji. The area charms visitors with its picturesque landscape featuring seasonal flowers, the lake, and the World Heritage site of Mount Fuji in the background.
Every summer, there's a Summer Rainbow Flower Festival here. I highly recommend coming by for a stroll and to check it out!
